Shileen was born in Oudtshoorn and raised in Swellendam. She relocated to Bonnievale because of better job opportunities.
In 2021 She visited Bonnievale 418 for career guidance.
Shileen got advised to attend one of the many after-school Programs – Work Readiness course. After she completed the Work Readiness course, she started as a volunteer at Bonnievale 418. Her heart immediately aligned with the values of Bonnievale 418. She I realized God placed her in Bonnievale to help make difference in young people lives.
Shileen is permanently employed but still pursuing academic studies. She is passionate about her job, because she can relate to how learners may feel disappointed, ashamed, or even hopeless and uncertain about their future.
It brings her joy and peace to connect people to the appointed person because so many people go undiscovered with great talent because they lacked information or needed advice, introduction, assistance, mentoring. I get to spread good news and assure them there is hope for the future.
I believe in destiny connectors. It only takes one person to believe in you to change your life forever. Sometimes it only takes one person not believing in you to destroy it.
